What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
People considering working with me should know that I am committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care tailored to individual needs. With a strong background in psychiatric nursing and experience with the Department of Veterans Affairs, I prioritize collaboration and communication in my practice. I involve patients in the decision-making process, providing education about treatment options to empower them throughout their care journey.
I treat a range of conditions, including anxiety, depression, and more complex mental health issues, for individuals aged 6 and up. Whether through in-person or telehealth sessions, my goal is to support each person on their path to improved mental health.
How do you work with clients with anxiety?
When working with clients who have anxiety, I utilize a tailored approach that includes a comprehensive assessment, education about anxiety, and the development of a personalized treatment plan. I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness practices to help clients challenge negative thought patterns and develop coping strategies. Regular follow-up sessions ensure ongoing monitoring and support, while collaboration with other healthcare professionals provides a comprehensive treatment approach. My goal is to empower clients with effective strategies to manage their anxiety and improve their overall well-being.
How do you work with clients with depression?
When working with clients who have depression, I take a comprehensive and individualized approach that includes thorough assessment, education about the condition, and the development of a personalized treatment plan. I often utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing to challenge negative thought patterns and enhance engagement in treatment. Regular follow-ups ensure progress monitoring and collaboration with other healthcare professionals, while ongoing encouragement and support help clients build coping skills and resilience on their journey to recovery.
How can you provide care remotely?
I provide care remotely through video telehealth appointments, allowing patients to receive psychiatric care from the comfort of their homes. This approach ensures accessibility for individuals who may have difficulty attending in-person sessions, whether due to geographic location, mobility issues, or other personal circumstances. During these sessions, I offer the same level of support and treatment options as I do in person, including medication management and therapy services tailored to each patient's unique needs.
