How do you work with clients with depression?
I work with clients with depression by creating a supportive, nonjudgmental space where they can talk openly about what they are experiencing and feel understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and tailored to each person’s needs, whether that means exploring underlying causes, processing difficult life experiences, or focusing on practical steps to improve day-to-day functioning. I help clients build coping strategies, strengthen self-awareness, and identify realistic goals that support healing and wellness. Above all, I aim to meet clients where they are and help them move forward at a pace that feels manageable and meaningful to them.
How do you work with clients with trauma and PTSD?
I work with trauma and PTSD by first creating a space where clients feel safe, supported, and not pressured to share more than they are ready for. Building trust is an important part of the process, because healing from trauma often begins with feeling grounded and understood. My approach is warm, collaborative, and paced to each individual. For some clients, this means processing past traumatic experiences in a thoughtful and manageable way. For others, it may begin with building coping skills, reducing anxiety, improving emotional regulation, and finding ways to feel more stable in daily life before going deeper. I believe treatment should respect each person’s readiness, needs, and goals.
How does solution focused brief therapy (SFBT) work and how can it help?
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) focuses less on analyzing the problem in depth and more on identifying solutions, strengths, and small, practical steps forward. Instead of staying centered on what is wrong, this approach helps clients notice what is already working, clarify what they want to be different, and build on their existing abilities and resources. It can be especially helpful for people who want a goal-oriented, present-focused approach that supports change in a manageable way. SFBT helps clients gain confidence, recognize progress, and create realistic strategies to improve their lives one step at a time.
