About Kate

To the world you appear to be thriving, but internally you feel anxious, overwhelmed and exhausted by self-doubt. You're tired of questioning everything about yourself. You're ready to stop worrying about what others think of you. You just want to feel good enough and sure about who you are. You want to trust yourself to make your own choices. Most of all, you want to get to the root of your anxiety so that you can feel confident in your ability to face life's challenges. No matter what you're going through, I invite you to join me in a safe space of reflection and support along your journey to becoming your most confident self. I specialize in helping teens and adults to develop the confidence and skills they need to overcome anxiety and self-doubt. I often work with high school students, college students, and ambitious individuals who have a desire to unlock their fullest potential and accomplish meaningful life goals. My goal is for you to recognize and trust your own strengths.

Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?

My favorite part of my work is seeing others lean in, opening themselves to deeper learning, and becoming inspired by their own power.

For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?

Standing on the sidelines of life is painful and not believing in yourself only helps to hold you back. There is so much power in learning how to offer yourself more compassion, acceptance and love as you work toward a stronger sense of self. There’s no better time than right now, so let’s take the next step toward your goals together.

What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?

In our work together, we will take a compassionate approach to exploring life’s obstacles. Through this, we learn how challenges can become valuable opportunities for self-discovery, personal growth, and greater purpose. You will learn how to let go of self-judgment and become curious as you move toward deeper insight, well-being and fulfillment.

Why is trauma processing important?

Trauma disrupts relationships, daily functioning and disconnects us from our sense of self. With extensive experience and training in supporting survivors of trauma, I am passionate about helping others to heal from its impacts.

What does a typical session with you tend to look like?

Warm, compassionate and non-judgmental, my approach to therapy is person-centered. I believe that when prompted with the right questions, you have the power to discover all of the answers within. This allows you to gain greater confidence in trusting yourself. Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all and knowing this, I will customize the therapy experience to your unique needs by integrating theories such as psychodynamic, CBT, mindfulness, somatic, and EMDR into our work together.

How can you provide care remotely?

I conduct video sessions for clients located anywhere in CA. I also see clients in-person at my office in Placentia, CA.
