For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
For those hesitant to try therapy, I’d want you to know that therapy is a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings at your own pace. It’s not about being told what to do, but about having someone who truly listens, supports, and helps you gain clarity. Therapy can help you build coping skills, overcome challenges, and empower you to make positive changes in your life. It's an opportunity for growth, and the first step can be the most rewarding one.
What do therapy sessions with you look like?
In therapy sessions with me, I strive to create a safe, judgment-free space where you can openly express your feelings and emotions. Our work together focuses on helping you develop positive coping skills and make healthy life choices that align with your unique lifestyle and abilities. I aim to support you in recognizing your strengths, improving your self-esteem, and building confidence. Everyone has different backgrounds and experiences, and I believe that you are the expert on your life. My role is to guide and support you in making decisions and changes that will benefit your overall well-being.
How do you work with clients with depression?
When working with clients experiencing depression, I take a compassionate, individualized approach. I create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their emotions and experiences openly. Together, we work on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns, building healthier coping mechanisms, and setting manageable goals for daily functioning. I often incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques to help clients reframe negative thoughts and stay grounded in the present. My goal is to empower clients to manage their symptoms and take meaningful steps toward improving their mental well-being.
