Hi, I'm glad you're here. The choice to start therapy isn't easy, but you are not alone on this journey. We live in a cyclical world where everything ebbs and flows and at some point in our lives, we may feel stuck or face certain challenges. We will encounter obstacles, conflicts, painful transitions, grief and loss or a sense of helplessness. As a result, we may feel alone, disconnected, angry, anxious, misunderstood and confused. In a safe environment of warmth, acceptance and compassion, I will work with you to explore and confront the emotional and interpersonal challenges that are bringing you pain or holding you back. By uncovering the obstacles holding you back, you can learn to make better choices, turn goals into realities, and find a greater sense of peace, purpose and freedom.
I am passionate about helping people create and maintain deeper connections, with self and others while on their path to healing. I specialize in working with adults and couples on a wide array of issues, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, grief and loss, divorce, infidelity, trauma, body image, identity and self-esteem. While I incorporate a variety of modalities into my work, both traditional and modern neuroscience and evidence-based, I practice through a holistic lens and a mindful perspective integrating the mind, body and spirit connection.
I received my Master degree in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University Graduate School of Education and Psychology, with an emphasis in Marriage Family Therapy and hold a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UCLA. In addition, I received extensive training on mindfulness, cultural competency, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and am currently in process of obtaining a Clinical Trauma Professional Certification.
