About Katy

I’m a therapist who specializes in working with Millennial and Gen Z women navigating anxiety, overthinking, perfectionism, people-pleasing, burnout, and major life transitions. Many of my clients are high-functioning on the outside—they’re successful, responsible, and often the person everyone else relies on—but internally they may struggle with racing thoughts, self-doubt, relationship anxiety, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling like they can never fully relax. My approach is warm, relatable, and collaborative, while also gently challenging the patterns that keep clients stuck. I help clients understand not only what they’re feeling, but the deeper patterns driving their anxiety, whether that’s fear of disappointing others, difficulty tolerating uncertainty, self-criticism, avoidance, or feeling responsible for everyone else’s emotions. I bring a balance of validation, humor, practical coping tools, and deeper emotional work into sessions, creating a space where clients can feel understood while still making meaningful changes. My goal is to help women quiet the constant mental noise, trust themselves more, communicate their needs, set healthier boundaries, and build a life that feels fulfilling—not just one that looks like they have it all together.

Approaches · Mindfulness-Based (MBCT)

How does mindfulness-based therapy (MBCT) work, and what do sessions look like?

Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) combines mindfulness practices with cognitive therapy to help you recognize patterns of overthinking, anxiety, and self-criticism without getting caught up in them. In our sessions, we’ll practice bringing awareness to your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations, learning to respond with curiosity rather than judgment. You’ll develop practical tools to manage racing thoughts, tolerate uncertainty, and create space between what you feel and how you respond, helping you feel more grounded, present, and confident in your everyday life.
Approaches · Positive Psychology

How does positive psychology work, and what do sessions look like?

Positive psychology focuses on building on your strengths, recognizing what brings meaning and fulfillment to your life, and developing a more balanced perspective. In our sessions, we’ll explore your values, celebrate progress, and identify the strengths you can draw on when navigating anxiety, perfectionism, or major life transitions. Together, we’ll work on shifting away from constant self-criticism toward greater self-compassion, confidence, and a sense of purpose, while making room for difficult emotions rather than ignoring them.
