About Kelli

I am an EMDR-trained therapist helping women and teen girls eliminate shame, heal trauma, improve depression and anxiety symptoms, gain self-esteem, and experience hope for the future. I use somatic and attachment-focused EMDR, evidence-based psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral interventions, as well as compassion and non-judgement, to improve your current symptoms and heal the root of your issues. Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?

I have struggled with my own issues throughout my life, including addiction, childhood trauma, depression, and anxiety. With the help of therapists, spiritual mentors, meditation, writing, and constant learning, my inner child was healed and my symptoms began to fade. I went through an amazing personal transformation and knew I wanted to help others do the same. Now, I have had the beautiful honor of witnessing my clients experience incredible transformations as well. I absolutely love talking with people about their life stories, learning about each unique individual with each of their unique experiences and working with them to heal the past and plan with hope for the future.

For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?

I believe therapy can benefit anyone, from people struggling with severe mental disorders to those who just desire a more fulfilling life. Therapy is a relationship between a client and another human being who happens to know a few things about how to achieve optimum mental health. Within this relationship, all kinds of things can happen! Exercises to eliminate symptoms, deep conversations that bring clarity and insight, new ideas and goals that motivate you toward a brighter future. Therapy is exciting. It is a journey, an adventure! The therapist is merely walking with you and supporting you as you tread the path of life. My advice is to just try it! If you don't hit it off with the first therapist, try a different one. This is your path, your journey. You have the power to choose who you want to walk beside you.
