Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?

I have always been passionate about seeing people overcome challenges, grow, and heal. It is an honor to witness the courage and resilience of my clients.

For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?

Each person is unique, and each journey is different. Working with a therapist can help provide insight and new tools for all types of life challenges. Therapy offers a private confidential space away from the busyness, stressors, or roles in our lives. Therapy is right for anyone who needs help with life’s difficulties, for those who want to create greater self-awareness, for those who are looking to achieve new goals, for those with mental health challenges, and for those who look to understand their lives and the many wonderful opportunities life offers.

What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?

I use a body-oriented approach which means you can expect to learn the unheard story of your body, how it influences your brain, thoughts, feelings, and beliefs, and how the body can help you regulate emotions, grow, and heal. Clients have said they appreciate that I'm gentle, honest, and direct yet kind. They also say they appreciate the growth, deeper work, and the space to talk, slow down, and safely feel through life's challenges while finding hope and joy, and recognizing their strengths as they heal from past hurt.

What does a typical session with you tend to look like?

In your first few sessions, you can expect to start developing somatic skills which helps you get to know yourself better and realize core issue(s). We will slow down, notice your body, and learn what your body is saying so you can learn to respond accordingly. You can also expect to recognize and heal unresolved issues from childhood that linger and still impact you as an adult. I will help you notice body sensations, and discover subconscious thoughts, feelings, and beliefs that drive behavioral patterns. From there, you will gain tools to make the change you want for yourself.

How can you provide care remotely?

I offer tele-therapy, which saves you commute time and provides you with the safety of being in your own home.
