How do you work with clients with anxiety?
I focus on helping them identify the sources of their anxiety and develop practical coping strategies. I take a collaborative approach, meaning we work together to explore how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors interact to create feelings of anxiety. I often use techniques to help clients challenge and reframe anxious thoughts, as well as mindfulness practices to increase their awareness and regulate their emotional responses. I believe in meeting clients where they are, so sessions are tailored to each individual's needs and progress at a pace that feels comfortable for them. The goal is to help clients build resilience, manage anxiety symptoms, and develop healthier ways to cope with life's stressors.
What do therapy sessions with you look like?
Therapy sessions with me are collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to meet your individual needs. I believe in meeting clients where they are, meaning I focus on your current emotional, mental, and life circumstances without judgment. Together, we work through your concerns at a pace that feels right for you.
How do you work with clients with self esteem issues?
I focus on helping them identify and challenge negative self-beliefs that may have developed over time. This process often involves exploring the roots of these beliefs, whether they stem from past experiences, societal pressures, or internalized criticism. I collaborate with clients to reframe these negative thoughts into more positive, realistic self-assessments, promoting self-compassion and acceptance. We also work on building practical tools such as assertiveness, boundary setting, and celebrating small successes, all of which contribute to strengthening their self-esteem over time. Through a supportive and non-judgmental space, I aim to empower clients to see their inherent worth and create a more positive relationship with themselves.
How does integrative therapy work and how can it help?
As a therapist, using an integrative approach means drawing from a variety of therapeutic models and techniques to meet the unique needs of each client. This approach allows me to be flexible and adapt to what works best for you, whether it's cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) to challenge negative thoughts, mindfulness to increase self-awareness, or solution-focused therapy to create actionable goals.
