Approaches · Acceptance and Commitment (ACT)
How does acceptance and commitment (ACT) work, and what do sessions look like?
ACT helps clients develop greater psychological flexibility by learning to accept difficult thoughts and emotions rather than fighting or avoiding them. Sessions focus on identifying personal values, understanding patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and developing practical skills to take meaningful action even when anxiety, uncertainty, or uncomfortable emotions are present. My approach is collaborative, person-centered, and focused on helping you build a life that aligns with what matters most to you.
Specialties · Bipolar Disorder
What's your approach to bipolar disorder, and what does progress look like for clients?
My approach to bipolar disorder is collaborative, supportive, and focused on helping clients better understand their symptoms, triggers, and patterns. As a licensed pharmacist, I can also provide psychoeducation regarding medication options while working within my role as a mental health practitioner and alongside appropriate medical providers. Progress may include improved awareness of mood changes, stronger coping strategies, greater emotional stability, and increased confidence in managing day-to-day life.
