What's your experience with clients with anxiety?
As a psychotherapist I have helped many clients uncover the underlying causes of their worries and fears. In the process, they also have learned to relax and develop healthier coping mechanisms and problem-solving skills. I provide the client with different approaches such as cognitive, behavioral, relaxation, meditation, and acceptance-based approach, and lifestyle interventions [among other strategies] which have been demonstrated to be useful for a wide range of anxiety-based problems.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, you will be able to get help and recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life
How do you work with clients with anger management issues?
I will work in collaboration with the client to address underlying anger issues and their causes. At the same time I will assist the client to create healthy behavioral goals. The client will learn to decrease the intensity and frequency of angry feelings and to recognize and find alternatives to anger.
What's your experience with clients with ADHD?
I have extensive experience working with clients dealing with ADHD and attention issues. The clients have learned to sustain attention and concentration for longer periods of time, increased the frequency of on-task behaviors, as well as, develop positive social skills and improvements in impulse control.
What's your experience with children or adolescents?
I help children and adolescents by providing them with emotional support so they can understand their feelings and problems. I assist in helping children resolve conflicts with family members, peers, and people, and they will learn new solutions to old problems. This involves therapeutic interactions between the child or teenager, his/her family, and the therapist.
What is your experience with career counseling?
Our clients [looking for career counseling] have received advice, coaching, information, and support while they navigate learning and work transitions throughout their lifespan. They have identified issues, concerns, and solutions to their doubts and insecurities about their career path.
