I'm a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner. I graduated from Walden University. I have a strong history of success in the treatment of psychiatric illness, medical and emotional illness including environmental, sociological, psychological, and physical factors of mental and emotional disorders. I focus on developing a personalized treatment plan while utilizing evidence-based pharmacological and non-pharmacological modalities to support each client. The tools that I'll provide you with are tools that I have been perfecting over my career helping people just like you.
I specialize in treating psychiatric disorders including, but not limited to, Anxiety, Depression, Mood disorders, Sleep Disorder, Bipolar, PTSD and ADHD. I am direct and solution focused and works collaboratively to address any issues that are bothering you right now. I am currently accepting new patient, and short notice appointments.
I believe that everyone can change and grow at any time in their lives. I believe that the main reason we develop mental health issues is because they are unhealthy learned behaviors that we have picked up along the way. Which means that I think you can unlearn the faulty behaviors and replace them with healthy ones.
I offer a complimentary 10-minute consultation session for prospective patients to assess whether my services align with their needs.

How do you work with clients with anxiety?
When working with clients experiencing anxiety, I employ a holistic approach. This includes cognitive-behavioral techniques, mindfulness, and relaxation exercises. Collaboratively, we identify triggers, develop coping strategies, and work towards building resilience to manage anxiety effectively.
Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I hold the belief that every person is distinct and merits personalized treatment. My objective is to assist you in dedicating time to comprehend your individuality, recognizing both your strengths and challenges. This understanding empowers you to make informed choices about the trajectory of your life. Rather than opting for a quick fix with medication, my focus is on helping you grasp the intricacies of your body and mind. Together, we can develop strategies tailored to your unique needs. My aim is to guide my patients towards navigating the world with self-compassion and kindness, fostering a positive and individualized approach to well-being.
How do you work with clients with depression?
Treating depression involves a personalized treatment plan integrating psychotherapy, medication management, and lifestyle adjustments. I work closely with clients to identify underlying factors contributing to their depression, fostering a supportive environment for recovery.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
For those hesitant to try therapy, I would emphasize that seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness. Therapy offers a confidential and non-judgmental space to explore thoughts and emotions, providing valuable insights and coping skills. It's a collaborative process tailored to individual needs and goals.
How do you work with clients with trauma and PTSD?
In my practice, I approach clients with trauma and PTSD with a combination of evidence-based therapies, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Establishing a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship is crucial, allowing clients to explore their experiences at their own pace.
What do therapy sessions with you look like?
Free Consultation - 10 minutes
An opportunity for potential patients to discuss their concerns or needs to determine if my services are a good fit and to receive initial advice or guidance.
Initial Visit - 45 minutes
An initial visit involves a medical history review, physical examination, and possibly diagnostic tests to evaluate a patient's health, identify issues, and develop a treatment plan.
Follow-up Visit - 30 minutes
A follow-up visit involves checking the progress of the patient's treatment plan, assessing any new symptoms or concerns, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed to ensure optimal health outcomes.
Medication Refill - 10 minutes
A medication refill appointment typically involves a brief review of his/her existing patient's medical history, confirming the need for the medication refill, and issuing a new prescription. It may also involve evaluating any side effects or concerns related to the medication and ensuring that the treatment plan is still appropriate for the patient's needs.
How do you work with clients with stress?
To address stress, I incorporate stress management techniques, mindfulness practices, and psychoeducation. By identifying stressors and developing coping mechanisms, clients gain valuable tools to navigate life's challenges, fostering a sense of control and well-being.
