For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
That therapy is what you make it. I strive to focus on the client’s goals and move at their pace.
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
I am pretty laid back and strive to make sessions as comfortable as possible for the client. I like to bring in humor when appropriate and will also provide honest feedback in a kind and constructive manner when necessary.
What do therapy sessions with you look like?
I like to bring in a mix of processing thoughts, education about how brain functions are affecting the current situation, and practical individualized strategies that can be implemented to improve the situation.
How do you work with clients with ADHD?
When I see clients with ADHD they are often well aware of their limitations, but struggle to identify the strengths that they have as a result of their ADHD. I like to identify these strengths and creatively use these to overcome barriers to a happy and healthy life.
