Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist to make a difference in the lives of individuals and families facing mental health challenges. Witnessing the resilience of my clients and their progress toward wellness is my greatest motivation. I’m passionate about providing compassionate, individualized care, using evidence-based practices and open communication to foster healing and trust. My goal is to empower clients to overcome their challenges and achieve lasting mental wellness and personal growth.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
I understand that starting therapy can feel intimidating, but it’s a step toward empowering yourself to achieve a healthier and more fulfilling life. Therapy provides a safe and non-judgmental space to explore your challenges, gain insights, and develop effective coping strategies. You don’t have to face your struggles alone—together, we can create a tailored plan that meets your unique needs and helps you take small, meaningful steps toward healing and growth.
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
I am a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years in mental health and medical healthcare. My approach is centered on building a therapeutic partnership where clients feel respected, supported, and empowered to achieve their mental wellness goals. I integrate evidence-based treatments with empathy and humor, addressing not just mental health concerns but the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
How can you provide care remotely?
I provide care remotely through secure telehealth platforms, offering flexible and confidential support tailored to your individual needs. Using evidence-based practices like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness strategies, I address a wide range of mental health concerns, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for healing and growth.
