Hi, I’m Miguel. I’m a warm, authentic, and empowering therapist dedicated to helping you feel seen and supported. My approach is modern and collaborative; I view therapy as a partnership where we work together to foster growth and clarity.
I specialize in working with individuals feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or navigating shifts in identity. As an LGBTQ+ affirming therapist and a member of the community myself, I am committed to providing a space where you never have to justify who you are. I welcome clients of all backgrounds with respect and warmth.
In our sessions, expect a mix of humor, validation, and gentle challenge. I integrate ACT, IFS, Narrative Therapy, CBT, and Solution-Focused techniques to tailor our work to your specific needs. You’re in the driver’s seat—I’m here with the map to help you reconnect with your values and build a life aligned with your true self.
If you’re looking for a therapist who is real, culturally aware, and invested in your journey, let’s connect.

How do you work with clients with self esteem issues?
When working with self-esteem, I focus on helping you understand the deeper roots of self-doubt rather than just trying to “think positive.” Low self-esteem often comes from years of criticism, comparison, rejection, people-pleasing, identity-based stress, or feeling like you had to shrink parts of yourself to be accepted.
In sessions, we would work collaboratively to notice the inner critic, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and reconnect with the parts of you that feel confident, worthy, and authentic. I may use CBT to examine negative thought patterns, IFS to understand protective parts of you, ACT to help you move toward your values, and narrative therapy to reshape the story you tell yourself about who you are.
My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, supported, and gently challenged. Over time, our work can help you build self-trust, set healthier boundaries, speak to yourself with more compassion, and feel more grounded in who you truly are.
How does narrative therapy work and how can it help?
Narrative therapy helps you explore the stories you have been carrying about yourself, your relationships, and your life experiences. Sometimes, when we go through stress, rejection, trauma, identity shifts, or painful relationships, we start to believe stories like “I’m not enough,” “I always mess things up,” or “This is just who I am.” Narrative therapy creates space to gently separate you from the problem and look at these stories with more curiosity and compassion.
In our work together, we would explore where these beliefs came from, how they have shaped your choices, and whether they still fit the person you are becoming. We would also identify moments of strength, resilience, and authenticity that may have been overlooked. This approach can help you feel less defined by past experiences and more empowered to rewrite your story in a way that reflects your values, identity, and hopes for the future.
