I am a Master's level clinical intern with immediate availability for children, adolescents, and adults. I have a passion for mental health and helping others overcome challenges to be their best selves. 

CBT is a fantastic intervention in my opinion because our brains are constantly trying to make sense of things, and these interpretations are not always accurate. Inaccurate interpretations can lead to thought patterns that can actually cause us harm, like blaming ourselves when we experience something negative. Challenging maladaptive cognitions and understanding how these harmful thoughts affect our behaviors and mood can be extremely eye-opening, because once we understand how our thoughts affect us, we can replace them with more beneficial ones. I have found this approach to be beneficial when using it with all kinds of clients.

DBT is appealing because it has such a wide range of utility. This approach has been proven to be effective with clients struggling with several different mental health issues like mood and anxiety disorders, and it can help people with emotional management and regulation, being more mindful, improving their relationships, and managing upsetting situations. I facilitate a weekly DBT group for adults via Zoom on Mondays at 1:00 PM.

I can provide care remotely through Telehealth. I think that remote therapy is great because it can allow people who have barriers to attending in person treatment to receive services and get the support they need.

Before I began working in the mental health field, I was a preschool teacher and a childcare provider. I have always enjoyed working with children, and I believe we can learn just as much from them as they can from us.
