About Nefretiri

Since 2004, I have worked extensively in various inpatient acute care environments in Medical as well as Behavioral Psychiatric Inpatient Units covering Adolescents, Acute Adults, Geriatric Med-Psych, and Psychiatric Intensive Care centered on the significantly impacted, underserved population. Through the years, I have cultivated an exquisite skill set and profound philosophy centered on providing compassionate and empathetic care to a diverse pool of patients grappling with various psychiatric and dual diagnoses, and behavioral health challenges. My passion to help individuals identify the incapacitating beliefs that are hindering them back in life and resolve how to move past them has been influential in forging a path towards an increased sense of power, mastery and triumph. I welcome you.

Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?

I became a therapist driven by a profound desire to help individuals overcome mental health challenges, especially ADHD, depression, and anxiety. What motivates me to continue is witnessing the transformative impact of therapy in people's lives. Over 19 years, I've seen individuals discover their strengths, achieve personal growth, and embrace empowerment. This continuous journey of self-discovery and the ability to positively impact lives fuel my dedication to therapy.

For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?

I would want to tell them that therapy is a safe and supportive space for self-discovery and growth. It's okay to have reservations, but taking that first step can lead to transformative change. You don't have to face your challenges alone. Together, we can navigate your journey towards a more fulfilling and empowered life.

What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?

People considering working with me should know that I bring over 19 years of experience and a deep commitment to helping individuals with ADHD, depression, and anxiety. My approach is client-centered, compassionate, and evidence-based. I'm dedicated to empowering you on your unique journey towards personal growth, positive change, and lasting well-being.

What does a typical session with you tend to look like?

A typical session with me is tailored to your unique needs. We begin by discussing your current challenges and goals. Then, we may employ various therapeutic modalities, including pharmacotherapy (medications) to explore and address your concerns. The session focuses on uncovering your strengths, fostering personal growth, and empowering you to create a fulfilling life. Throughout, it's a collaborative journey where we work together to support positive changes and self-discovery.

How can you provide care remotely?

I can provide care remotely through telepsychiatry, utilizing secure video conferencing technology. This allows for real-time, face-to-face interactions with clients, enabling assessments, therapy, medication management, and ongoing support, all from the comfort and privacy of their chosen setting. Telepsychiatry offers convenience, accessibility, and effective care delivery while bypassing lengthy wait times. You may book with us on our calendar https://calendly.com/exxceed
