Therapy is a brave step toward gaining support and tools for overcoming life's challenges. It is about creating a safe environment for exploring thoughts and feelings with a nonjudgmental therapist. You don't have to have everything figured out ahead of time; therapy is a collaborative process in which you and your therapist work together to identify goals and develop a plan. As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner with more than sixteen years of experience, I provide holistic and personalized care that is tailored to your specific needs. I foster a supportive and nonjudgmental environment, emphasizing collaboration and empowerment in our work together. How do you work with clients with grief?
When working with clients who are grieving, I provide a safe and supportive environment in which they can express their emotions and memories of the deceased. I validate their feelings, normalize the grieving process, and help them develop healthy coping strategies. I also assist clients in processing unresolved emotions and honoring the memory of a loved one through rituals and self-care. My goal is to offer clients compassionate support and guidance as they work through their grief and find healing and acceptance.
What do therapy sessions with you look like?
During therapy sessions, I typically create a safe and welcoming environment in which you can openly discuss your thoughts, feelings, and concerns. How can you provide care remotely?
I can provide care remotely using telehealth platforms and virtual sessions. These platforms enable us to communicate using video conferencing, phone calls, and secure messaging. I can conduct assessments, provide therapy, psychoeducation, teach coping skills, and monitor progress remotely in the same way that I would in person. In addition, I can work with other healthcare providers, prescribe medications as needed, and coordinate care to ensure you receive comprehensive support. Remote care provides accessibility, convenience, and flexibility, allowing us to collaborate effectively regardless of our geographic location.
