About Nina
Hi, I’m Nina. I help adults overcome trauma, religious trauma, and complex relationship wounds using EMDR therapy. I provide a warm, compassionate, and relational approach to healing so you can reconnect with yourself, feel grounded, and move forward with confidence.
Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist because I know what it feels like to carry trauma, and deep identity wounds. I’ve been through my own healing journey, and I want to help others find the hope, safety, and self-trust I’ve worked so hard to build. I offer a warm, compassionate space for adults to process pain, release old patterns, and reconnect with themselves. Helping someone reclaim their life and feel whole keeps me inspired every day.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
I would tell anyone who is hesitant that feeling unsure about therapy is completely normal. Seeking help does not mean something is wrong with you. It means you are ready to care for yourself and your healing. Therapy is a safe space to be seen, heard, and understood without judgment. You do not need to have all the answers or know exactly what to say. Even small steps, like showing up, can start a ripple of change in your life. Healing is possible, and you do not have to do it alone.
What do therapy sessions with you look like?
Therapy sessions with me are warm, relational, and paced to your needs. We start by creating a safe and supportive space where you can feel heard and understood. I use EMDR therapy and other trauma-informed approaches to help you process past experiences, release emotional pain, and build coping skills. Sessions are collaborative, meaning we work together to explore your goals, address relational or religious trauma, and help you reconnect with yourself. My focus is on guiding you toward healing, self-trust, and a greater sense of peace in your daily life.
Why is trauma processing important?
Trauma processing is important because unprocessed trauma can live in both the mind and the body long after the event has passed. Trauma can show up as chronic stress, anxiety, tension, fatigue, sleep issues, or feeling disconnected from yourself. Processing trauma helps the nervous system release stored stress, reduce emotional and physical symptoms, and create a sense of safety in the body. When trauma is healed, people often feel more grounded, calmer in their relationships, and more connected to who they truly are.
