I am a Marriage and Family Therapist and Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC). I have a Private Practice where I specialize in Couples, Intimacy, and Trauma. My primary approach to couples therapy utilizes Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and The Developmental Model and I have additional training in the Gottman Model and RLT. I am also trained as a Sex Therapist.
I have an integrative approach to Trauma therapy and utilize advanced training in EMDR, IFS, Body Centered Psychotherapy, Mindfulness, and Inner Child work among others and certified in addictions work. My approach is strength - based and non-pathologizing.

Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I remember from a young age looking for the strength in people. When people struggle one of the most powerful things you can do is help them find their inherent greatness. Connecting people with their inherent greatness and seeing them transform into themselves is such a humbling and satisfying experience how could I not continue?
How do you work with clients with addiction?
My approach is to view addictions as a Trauma based issue and not from a disease model. The goal of my therapy is to uncover the underlying reason(s) for the addiction and work through healing and recovery to healthy living and relationships.
