Hello, My name is Patricia Jones and I am a licensed Clinical Social worker. My therapeutic style is warm, collaborative, and empowering. My goal is to create a safe, caring, non-judgmental, and strength-based approach for you to process your emotions. As a therapist, I utilize a variety of different therapeutic interventions to customize treatment to meet my clients' needs. I love empowering my clients to leave therapy feeling proud of the work they have done, and confident and capable in their next stage of life.
I implement a combination of evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution Focus, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy, to help clients find solutions to issues such as depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship stress, grief, and other difficulties. My focus is client-centered care to help clients reach their treatment goals.
I am a Strengths-Based individual and family therapist who works with clients who may be struggling with anxiety, substance use, relationship dynamics, or major life transitions. My goal is to help you find peace of mind and to help you start loving yourself again. I am open to helping individuals who really want to help themselves.
I truly listen to my clients, openly, honestly, and without judgment. I love to tell them what they need to hear not what they want to hear. I feel homework is a critical and crucial part of treatment and it helps to solidify our discussions.
My goals for you is a collaborative effort, you know what issues are impacting you and what you are willing to do to change your life. I am here to just assist and guide you in the right direction.

How do you work with clients with anxiety?
When working with clients that have their life impacted with anxiety, I take a comprehensive approach that might include CBT, DBT , Person-Centered , and mindfulness techniques. Together we will focus on understanding the origin of your anxiety, recognizing triggers, and teach you grounding and coping techniques to help you reduce your symptoms.
Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist because I realized early on in life that I had a passion for guiding people through difficult times. I use humor, compassion, and genuineness to help you live up to your true potential. I studied at Rutgers University in New Jersey for my Master's degree in Social work and have been practicing therapy for over ten years.
What motivates me to continue working with clients is seeing the growth and progress my clients make. It’s incredibly rewarding/genuine to be part of someone’s journey, to watch them regain hope, develop new skills, and walk in their true purpose.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
How do you work with clients with depression?
How do you work with clients with grief?
I believe in creating a compassionate and safe environment. Grief is deeply personal and the first step is to create a space where clients feels safe and understood. I focus on building trust and offering a non-judgmental setting where clients can express there emotions -be it sadness, guilt or even relief without criticism. I validate your grieving process and help you understand your pain.
What do therapy sessions with you look like?
Our first session would be spent building rapport and truly learning about each other. I truly believe that you're the expert on your life and I want to hear your life challenges and story.
How do you work with clients with self esteem issues?
Working with clients who are struggling with self esteem issues involves a collaborative and compassionate process that focuses on building a healthier self -view and creating sustainable, positive change. I create a safe , supportive space and work on establishing trust by validating your experiences, related to your self worth. I explore with you the roots/origins of your low self esteem. I will help you work on identifying patterns of negative self talk and internalized beliefs that contribute to low self esteem.
