Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I have a background in the arts and started out as an art teacher straight out of college. As a teacher, I wanted to focus more on the student’s growth through process rather than the product. Being a therapist allows me to do the same without the pressure of external expectations. It allows me to provide a safe space for clients to express with only themselves to determine preferred outcomes.
