About Rani
As a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than a decade of experience, I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for children, adolescents, and adults facing a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and psychiatric concerns.
I provide specialized psychiatric care for children ages 3+ with behavioral challenges related to ADHD, autism, developmental delays, and other childhood mental health conditions.
My clinical background includes caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, veterans within the VA healthcare system, incarcerated individuals, and children and adolescents receiving outpatient psychiatric care through OU Health. These experiences have shaped my individualized, patient-centered approach to mental health care.
I am committed to creating a safe, confidential, and nonjudgmental environment where patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment. My goal is to build trusting therapeutic relationships that support healing, emotional wellness, and long-term quality of life.

How does solution focused brief therapy (SFBT) work, and what do sessions look like?
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) is a goal-oriented approach that focuses on a client’s strengths, resources, and possibilities rather than spending most of the session examining problems. Sessions are collaborative and focused on identifying what the client wants to change, what is already working, and small, realistic steps toward their goals. We may explore times when the concern feels less difficult, identify existing strengths, and build on successful strategies. The goal is to help clients recognize their capacity for change and make meaningful progress toward the future they want.

What's your approach to chronic illness and pain, and what does progress look like for clients?
I take a compassionate, patient-centered approach to supporting clients living with chronic illness and pain. I recognize that ongoing physical symptoms can affect emotional well-being, relationships, daily functioning, and quality of life. Treatment focuses on understanding each client’s unique experience, identifying manageable goals, and supporting coping strategies that promote greater emotional wellness and resilience. Progress may look different for each person and can include improved coping, increased confidence, greater emotional stability, and feeling more capable of navigating daily life.
