For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
Starting therapy can feel intimidating, especially if you’re not sure what to expect or if it will help. I often tell people that you don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin—therapy is a space where we figure things out together. You can come exactly as you are, whether that means feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or even skeptical. My advice is to think of therapy as a conversation, not a commitment to have all the answers. It’s okay to take it one step at a time. You are in control of the process, and a good therapist will meet you at your pace. Even one session can offer clarity or a new perspective. You deserve a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported.
What do therapy sessions with you look like?
My goal is to create a space where you feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely understood. Sessions with me are collaborative and conversational—we work together to explore what’s been weighing on you and identify meaningful ways to move forward. I tailor my approach to each individual, drawing from evidence-based practices while also focusing on building a strong, trusting relationship. Some sessions may focus on processing emotions or past experiences, while others may be more structured, with practical tools and strategies you can use in your daily life. Whether we’re addressing anxiety, trauma, stress, or life transitions, I aim to help you feel more grounded, gain insight, and develop skills that support lasting change.
