About Renee
I am Renee. I am a clinician with over 10-years of experience working in the Mental Health field. I am an LISW-S in the State of Ohio.
I received my bachelors degree in Social and Behavioral Studies. I am a proud graduate of the first social work school in the United States: Simmons College of Social Work in Boston, Massachusetts. While pursuing my graduate degree at Simmons College, I had an opportunity to learn how to provide a space without judgement, a space where my clients are understood, supported, shown empathy and unconditional positive regard; I would say that is my style of counseling!
I have experience working with diverse populations including veterans, adults, children, families, individuals and groups. I utilize treatment modalities such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness therapy in the treatment of concerns including addiction, grief, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, adjustment disorders, and life’s stressors.
I believe there is support out there, no matter what life throws at us. I also hold a strong belief in the dignity and worth of all people, which translates into a client-centered approach. Values of this approach that I hold include: individuality, privacy, partnership, choice, dignity, respect, rights, equality, independence and diversity.
Book a session with me or with any of my amazing colleagues. We look forward to working with you!
