Sex therapy is a form of psychotherapy that can integrate various styles to increase sexual wellness, decrease sexual dysfunction or compulsive sexual behaviors by exploring thoughts, emotions, beliefs, and values that impact your sexual identity. Our sexual identities are rooted in our culture, community, values, and what we believe about ourselves and what it means to be in partnership with others. Our current sexual identities may seem to clash with the values that were given to us, or with our partners’ beliefs. Life transitions, stress, and unsafe experiences may further shift our ability to connect with our partners and ourselves authentically. My goal is to help you explore the values, beliefs, and experiences that informed your sexual self and increase wellness to allow for meaningful intimacy.
