Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I became a therapist because I’ve always been passionate about helping others navigate the complexities of life, especially when it comes to mental health. Witnessing the impact that mental health struggles can have on individuals and their loved ones inspired me to dedicate my career to making a difference. What motivates me to continue is seeing the transformation in my clients—the resilience they build, the breakthroughs they experience, and the positive changes in their lives. Every day, I am reminded of the power of therapy to create lasting healing, and it’s that sense of purpose that drives me forward. My goal is to continue providing compassionate, evidence-based care to help people find hope, balance, and well-being.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
I understand that starting therapy can feel daunting, but it’s important to remember that seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Therapy offers a safe, non-judgmental space to explore your thoughts and emotions, and it’s not about being "broken"—it’s about gaining the tools to manage life’s challenges in healthier ways. Everyone’s journey is unique, and therapy is a collaborative process where you set the pace. My role is to support you in reaching your goals, no matter how big or small. If you’re feeling hesitant, I’d encourage you to try just one session to see how it feels—you might be surprised by how empowering it can be.
