About Rubi
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and have been in the social work field since 2015, providing therapy since 2020. Throughout my career, I’ve supported individuals and families navigating mental health crises, systemic injustice, and the legal system. My current work is especially grounded in supporting adolescents and young adults navigating trauma, identity exploration, and life transitions.

About MeWhy did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I’m passionate about making mental health care accessible and affirming for those who’ve often been overlooked or underserved, particularly LGBTQ+ folks, people from low-income backgrounds, and BIPOC.
About MeWhat should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
I view clients through an intersectional lens, which means that I consider how the different aspects of your identity, such as race, gender, and class, influence your experiences.
I believe that therapy should feel safe and respectful, but not necessarily always easy. Once we’ve built trust, I’m not afraid to gently challenge you in sessions. At the core of my work is a commitment to building strong, respectful relationships. I care deeply about creating a space where you can show up fully, without judgement. My goal is to help you push forward when life pushes back.
