Rubina Anis

Rubina Anis is an LPC Associate at Martin Counseling, currently residing in the Greater Houston area, Texas. Rubina has a MA in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University Leiden, the Netherlands, and MSc. in Human Development from Nagpur University, India. She specializes in counseling, early intervention, Adlerian school, play and family therapy, and grief counseling.   She provides counseling to families, children, teenagers on the autism spectrum and specializes in helping children having developmental delays. She has 20 years of working experience in mainstream schools, special education, hospitals, and child protection agencies. She specializes in childhood disorders such as enuresis, encopresis, selective mutism, anxiety, and depression. In the past 20 years, Rubina has had the unique experience of living in 5 different continents; India, UAE, Netherlands, Brunei, US, and working with clients from at least 50 different nationalities. She, therefore, understands the family dynamics of various cultures and how that affects the development of the child. She incorporates cultural understanding and training in psychology and plays therapy to empower young parents to enhance their children’s development.
