About Ruth
Hi, I’m Ruth Oluwole, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC. I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and I work with adolescents and adults.
If you’ve been feeling anxious, overwhelmed, down, unable to focus, having trouble sleeping, dealing with mood changes, or just not feeling like yourself, you’re not alone. Sometimes you may not even know exactly what’s wrong—you just know that something needs to change.
That’s where I come in. I want you to feel comfortable being honest about what you’re experiencing without feeling judged. I take the time to listen, understand what’s going on in your life, and work with you to find a treatment approach that actually makes sense for you.
I provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and brief psychotherapy for concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, OCD, trauma, insomnia, and other mental health concerns.
I have more than eight years of nursing experience in acute care, hospice, and behavioral health, and I bring that experience into the way I care for my patients.
You don’t have to have everything figured out before you reach out. If you’re ready to talk, I’m here to listen and help you figure out the next step.

Approaches · Emotionally Focused (EFT)
How does emotionally focused therapy work, and what do sessions look like?
Emotionally focused therapy helps you better understand your emotions, how they influence your thoughts and behaviors, and how they may affect your relationships and overall well-being. In sessions, we’ll create a supportive space to explore difficult emotions, identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop healthier ways of responding. My goal is to help you feel more connected to yourself, communicate your needs more effectively, and build greater emotional awareness and resilience.
Specialties · ADHD
What's your approach to ADHD, and what does progress look like for clients?
My approach to ADHD is individualized and focused on understanding how attention difficulties, impulsivity, organization, motivation, and other symptoms may be affecting your daily life. We’ll look at your experiences, goals, and challenges together and develop a treatment plan that makes sense for you, which may include medication management and brief psychotherapy. Progress can look different for everyone, but it may include improved focus, better organization, greater emotional regulation, improved sleep, and feeling more capable and confident in managing everyday responsibilities.
