About Ryan

I'm passionate about helping adults navigate life's most challenging moments—whether that's managing anxiety and depression, working through relationship strain, recovering from burnout, or adapting to major transitions. I've spent years in executive leadership, which deepened my understanding of how stress, identity, and systemic pressures shape our wellbeing. That experience informs my clinical work today. I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), relational approaches, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help you identify practical tools while honoring what matters most to you. I work with men's issues, stress, and the unique struggles many adults face in their professional and personal lives. I offer telehealth sessions and am currently accepting new clients. If you're ready to explore what's possible, I'm here to support you.

Approaches · Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

How does cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) work, and what do sessions look like?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) operates on a simple, foundational premise: your thoughts, feelings, physical sensations, and behaviors are all interconnected. It is a highly structured, goal-oriented, and short-term form of talk therapy—typically lasting between 5 to 20 weekly sessions—that focuses primarily on the present moment rather than digging extensively into your childhood or past. When treating anxiety, CBT does not try to magically erase your stress. Instead, it works by identifying "faulty" or unhelpful thinking and behavioral habits, allowing you to intentionally retrain how your brain and nervous system respond to triggers.

What's your approach to anxiety, and what does progress look like for clients?

My approach to anxiety is rooted in evidence-based, action-oriented therapies like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I view anxiety not as a broken mechanism to be forcefully shut down, but as an overprotective alarm system that needs to be retrained. Instead of wasting energy trying to eliminate anxious thoughts completely, our focus is on changing your relationship to anxiety so it no longer dictates your life choices.
About Me

For people hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them, and what advice would you give?

For anyone feeling hesitant about starting therapy, it is completely normal to feel a mix of skepticism, anxiety, or even fear. Taking the first step requires a great deal of vulnerability, and looking into the unknown can feel incredibly daunting. You do not have to be "in crisis" to go. You do not need to wait until your life is falling apart, or until you hit a breaking point. Therapy is a proactive tool for personal growth, navigating life transitions, or simply understanding your patterns better. It is a collaborative workshop, not a lecture. Therapy is not about a rigid doctor telling you what is wrong with you or giving you unsolicited advice. It is a partnership where you bring the expertise on your own life, and the therapist brings psychological tools to help you untangle it.
Specialties · Depression

What's your approach to depression, and what does progress look like for clients?

My approach to depression is proactive, holistic, and deeply collaborative. I view depression not as a permanent personal flaw, but as a heavy, exhausting fog that disconnects you from your energy, your relationships, and your sense of purpose. Because depression naturally drains your motivation, my approach does not wait for you to "feel like" doing something; instead, we focus on using actions to change how you feel from the outside in.
