My name is Sabrina Valdivia. I am a marriage family therapist intern under the supervision of Scott Hall. I am also a wife and a mother of one toddler. I operate my practice through an Open Path member and I have a website that offers a variety of additional resources. I have a holistic approach to my therapy sessions in that I operate from a spiritual aspect while also operating under the scientific based methods. What does a typical session with you tend to look like?
The first session involves us getting to know each other. I will ask general questions about your background so I can gain a better understanding of all the elements that can be playing a factor in your presenting problem. I also make sure to go over the informed consent and confidentiality. If it is your first time in session, I will also give you information on how therapy works, the differences between mental health professionals and how to make the most out of our sessions.
