How do you work with clients with addiction?
Dr. Khaleghian is dedicated to treating, educating, and providing addiction resources to individuals and their families/spouses. Often times, patients are struggling with both mental health disorders and their process in addiction recovery, which is also known as co-occurring or co-morbid disorders.
Whether it’s a person’s time to graduate from a recovery program, learning skills to maintain sobriety/ relapse prevention, acquiring harm-reduction techniques, and/or needing assistance finding or transitioning to a treatment facility or sober-living, Dr. Khaleghian is here to help.
She has extensive knowledge and training in these areas. Her research and on-going professional training include exploring proven evidence-based treatment approaches as well as investigating new and emerging treatment modalities to substance use/abuse and treating co-occurring disorders. The process of treating and managing addiction may often be complex and overwhelming for patients.
Dr. Khaleghian closely collaborates with psychiatrists, general physicians, and recovery treatment programs, which may relieve any additional stressors a person or family is experiencing.
Dr. Khaleghian’s office provides services such as: coordination of care, medication-management, assistance with billing insurance companies, genetic testing, and drug-testing (UPON REQUEST ONLY). Please contact Dr. Khaleghian at (310) 955-0435 for more information about before, during, and after recovery treatment.
What's your experience with children or adolescents?
Transitioning into adulthood can be both exciting and difficult at the same time. It can stir-up conflicting feelings caused by no longer being viewed as a child, yet not quite feeling settled into the role of an independent adult.
During this period we are confronted with challenging decisions both personally and professionally, which often times this can be confusing given being faced with the pressures and expectations from our family, peers, and society about what the next step “should be.”
My goal is to help you explore your values, identity, strengths, and interests in order to assist in facilitating you to create the life you want to live.
