Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?
I’ve always been drawn to people’s stories. Even as a child, I found myself sitting beside classmates on the playground, listening closely, helping them process feelings and offering perspective in ways that felt natural and intuitive. When I met my school counselor, something clicked—I suddenly had language for what I felt called to do. From that point on, I knew I wanted to become a therapist.
That clarity never wavered.
Over the years, I’ve followed that early calling with intention and deep commitment. For more than a decade, I’ve had the honor of supporting individuals through some of the most courageous and transformative moments of their lives. What continues to inspire me is the resilience I witness every single day—the way people show up for themselves, even in the midst of pain, uncertainty, or self-doubt.
Therapy is not just about symptom relief—it’s about stepping into growth, reclaiming power, and creating change that ripples into every area of life. I get to walk alongside people as they confront the hard stuff, untangle old narratives, and reconnect with who they are and who they’re becoming. That process is sacred, and I don’t take it lightly.
What keeps me grounded and motivated is honoring that work while also honoring myself—building a business that reflects my values, working within my scope and strengths, and connecting with clients who are ready to lean in, get real, and do the work. Whether we’re processing trauma, navigating life transitions, or rediscovering purpose, I show up with authenticity, compassion, and a deep belief in your capacity for change.
Helping people reach their goals, step into their power, and build the life they want to live—that’s what lights me up. And I feel incredibly lucky to do this work every day.
For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
Take a deep breath. Lean in, even if it feels scary. The truth is, growth often starts in the most uncomfortable places—and showing up for yourself in therapy is a powerful act of courage.
You don’t have to dive into your deepest wounds on day one. Therapy isn’t about rushing the process; it’s about building trust, finding rhythm, and creating a safe space where you can be—messy, curious, guarded, open, or anywhere in between.
Not every therapist will be your person—and that’s okay. Fit matters. You deserve to work with someone who gets you, challenges you, and walks alongside you with compassion and clarity. That’s why I always recommend a free 15-minute consultation. Use that time to ask questions, share what you’re looking for, and feel out whether it’s a match. It’s a low-stakes way to dip your toe in before making a bigger commitment.
Even if therapy has felt disappointing or painful in the past, don’t write it off altogether. Like any relationship, this one takes time and intention to grow. If after a few sessions something isn’t clicking, speak up. Good therapy is collaborative, and adjustments can often be made to better meet your needs.
Choosing to step into therapy—even when it’s uncomfortable—is a radical act of hope. And hope is a muscle that gets stronger the more we use it.
You are capable of change. You are worthy of support. And no matter how long it takes, you don’t have to walk that path alone.
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
Therapy with me is collaborative, flexible, and intentionally tailored to you. Some clients prefer structure—coming into session with clear goals or things to unpack—while others benefit from a more fluid, in-the-moment exploration. Both are welcome here. I don’t assign homework in the traditional sense, but I often invite reflection, introduce mindfulness or somatic practices, or encourage you to try out tools between sessions. Then we come back together to explore what felt helpful, what didn’t, and what obstacles may have come up.
Throughout our work, you’ll notice I reflect back key themes, patterns, and emotional truths that can offer deeper insight. I also weave in skill-building when it’s relevant and supportive in the moment. Therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all—I treat it like a dance where we co-create the rhythm and direction based on your unique needs, while still offering grounded guidance.
My style is compassionate, but also direct. I believe honesty, when delivered with care, builds trust. At times, my language may be candid or even include the occasional curse word if it fits the emotional tone (always with respect and never at your expense). I’m equally comfortable adjusting to your preferences around that. I may share a piece of my own experience when it feels genuinely helpful or humanizing, but always in service of your process—not mine.
Ultimately, I show up as a real person in the room (or on the screen), committed to helping you show up fully for yourself.
How can you provide care remotely?
I offer therapy exclusively through secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth—making high-quality care more accessible, convenient, and flexible for your busy life. Remote therapy allows you to show up from the comfort of a safe, private space—no traffic, commute, or waiting rooms.
With years of experience providing virtual care—even before the pandemic—I bring confidence and intention to this work. Many trauma-focused and mind-body modalities, like EMDR and biofeedback, are highly effective online. I’ll guide you through the process using accessible tools—whether that's online resources, your own body-based cues, or low-cost tech—to support regulation and emotional processing.
All you need is a quiet, uninterrupted space and a willingness to do the work. Together, we can build meaningful change—wherever you are.
