Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?

I became a therapist to empower individuals in cultivating resilience against mental health challenges. Witnessing the transformative impact of tailored telepsychiatry services, addiction counseling, and medication-assisted treatment motivates me to continue guiding clients on their path to recovery and comprehensive healing.

How do you work with clients with anxiety?

At the heart of my approach lies an individualized treatment plan created after a comprehensive assessment of your specific anxiety symptoms – ranging from worried thoughts and avoidant behavior to physical symptoms. Equipping you with effective coping mechanisms aligned to your situation is the core of my strategy. My therapy toolbox for managing anxiety encompasses cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness-based techniques, and other targeted interventions. These therapies aim to intercept cycles of repetitive worrying thoughts, empower you to confront anxiety-triggering situations and mitigate relative physical symptoms.

For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?

To those hesitant about therapy, I'd like to convey my specialization in assisting with depression, anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges. Additionally, I have specialized training in trauma and chemical dependency. I emphasize a non-discriminatory approach, welcoming individuals of all backgrounds, including race, creed, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identification, physical or mental ability, and military status.

How do you work with clients with depression?

Depression and anxiety are convoluted conditions that warrant comprehensive care, expert knowledge, and empathetic understanding. By intertwining modern strategies with a patient-centered approach, we strive to help you conquer the barriers of the mind that overshadow much-needed peace. We provide a wealth of therapy options tailored to individual needs within our Depression & Anxiety program. These interventions include cognitive-behavioral therapy, pharmacotherapy, psychoeducational counselling, and mindfulness strategies. At the heart of our Depression & Anxiety Care is customizing your treatment plan. By delving into your emotions, experiences, triggers, and coping mechanisms, we marry your unique needs with cutting-edge research to optimize your recovery journey.

What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?

As a therapist, I engage in a warm and empathic style. I work with my clients to help them develop greater self-understanding and to identify the patterns holding them back from living their fullest and most meaningful lives. Together, we identify ways of approaching these challenges with greater flexibility and self-awareness.

What do therapy sessions with you look like?

Free Consultation - 5 minutes An opportunity for potential patients to discuss their concerns or needs to determine if their services are a good fit and to receive initial advice or guidance. Initial Visit - 45 minutes An initial visit involves a medical history review, an assessment of your specific symptoms and concerns, possible diagnostic tests to evaluate a patient's health, identify issues, develop and discuss treatment options. Follow-up Visit - 15 minutes A follow-up visit involves checking the progress of the patient's treatment plan, assessing any new symptoms or concerns, and adjusting the treatment plan as needed to ensure optimal health outcomes. Medication Refill - 15 minutes A medication refill appointment typically involves a brief review of his/her existing patient's medical history, confirming the need for the medication refill, and issuing a new prescription. It may also involve evaluating any side effects or concerns related to the medication and ensuring that the treatment plan is still appropriate for the patient's needs. Psychotherapy - 60 minutes Individual, couples, and family therapy sessions via telehealth.

How do you work with clients with ADHD?

Amidst the tangle of thoughts that coincide with ADHD, anxiety, and depression, maintaining focus can become a Herculean task. Our approach is directed towards finding the right medication to enhance neural communication, making daily tasks less daunting and life less chaotic. To counteract scattered focus, we employ a plethora of techniques and therapies. These include cognitive-behavioral therapy, psycho-education, time-management coaching, and tailored medication plans for enhancing neuronal communication. While we currently don’t prescribe stimulants, we leverage a variety of other medications to improve focus and cognition. Our prescribers work with you to develop a personalized medication plan to optimize neurologic communication and smooth your path to enhanced focus.

How can you provide care remotely?

With Telepsychiatry, you receive professional mental health services and support without leaving the comfort of your home. I conduct video consultations to discuss, assess, and manage your mental health concerns. Telepsychiatry leverages secure video conferencing to connect with my clients. From the initial evaluation to ongoing therapy, I am committed to providing quality care via this convenient, confidential medium.
