I am a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner providing holistic psychiatric care using an integrative approach that is guided by compassion and empathy. My professional career has been dedicated to helping others. I have always had an interest in the brain and human behavior, earning degrees within psychology, special education, nursing, and psychiatric/mental health.
With a diverse background spanning over two decades in public education and healthcare settings, I bring a unique blend of expertise to my practice. Before working in healthcare, I worked with adolescents in the public education setting for nearly two decades where I conduced psycho-educational evaluations for children with emotional and learning differences, created individualized education plans, and served as a fierce advocate for students with special needs.
Motivated to expand my scope and deepen my impact, I pursued a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, followed by a Master of Science in Nursing degree with a focus on psychiatric and mental health from Wilkes University. During my 2-year residency as an inpatient psychiatric nurse for adolescents and adults, I honed my clinical skills and developed a deep understanding of the complexities of mental health disorders.
I bring an easy-going demeanor and open-minded approach to my practice, ensuring every client feels comfortable and supported on their path to wellness. I look forward to connecting with you!
Please note that I do not prescribe controlled substances to my telehealth clients.
