About Sylvia

I am an LSWAIC, a Licensed Social Worker Associate–Independent Clinical. I earned my Master's in Social Work from the University of Kentucky in 2024. I offer a compassionate, down-to-earth space where you can share your thoughts and feelings without judgment. I am deeply committed to supporting people as they navigate challenging seasons of life. I have worked with—and continue to support—a diverse range of clients experiencing trauma, low self-esteem and self-confidence, depression, and anxiety. Through this work, I have come to appreciate the importance of advocacy, client empowerment, and treating people with dignity during difficult moments, while ensuring their needs and voices are heard within complex systems. Drawing on my BSW and MSW training, I provide therapy informed by Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)–informed skills, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). My approach is collaborative and practical, helping clients build insight, strengthen emotional regulation skills, and develop sustainable coping strategies that fit their daily lives.
