About Tara
Hey there—I’m Tara! We all carry stories—some visible, some quietly tucked away. Life can throw sudden changes, invisible struggles, or seasons of overwhelm. It gets messy. It gets exhausting. I know what it takes to keep going when no one can see all that you’re carrying. Healing isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about understanding your story, finding tools that actually work, and creating balance that feels right for you. I have experience supporting people through anxiety, depression, relationship stress, and life’s curveballs. I work with couples and individuals from all backgrounds and identities, including military spouses and veterans, offering a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and supported! Outside the office, you can find me planning my next tattoo, singing way too loudly, or laughing at funny cat videos! I believe therapy doesn’t have to be all serious faces and stiff chairs—openness, curiosity, and even a little humor can go a long way in the healing process! If you’re looking for a nonjudgmental, safe space to process whatever’s on your mind—without the stuffy-office vibes—you’re in the right place! This is your space to let go and breathe easier. To go at your own pace. To be accepted exactly as you are. Therapy with me is about pressing pause, tuning into what’s really going on beneath the surface, and giving yourself some room to breathe. Please contact me if: -You feel like you’re in overdrive or juggling a million tabs -You need a space where you can show up as your full self, especially if you’ve felt unseen or misunderstood -You’re burned out or feeling numb, like you’ve lost your spark -You’re grieving a loss or navigating a major life change -Your relationship is under stress, and you want support to reconnect or heal -You’ve been lugging around emotions like a backpack full of bricks and are overdue for setting it down -You’re a military spouse trying to find balance and support through transitions or isolation

How does couples therapy work and how can it help?
Every relationship—whether monogamous, polyamorous, open, or somewhere in between—comes with moments of connection and moments of struggle. Maybe small disagreements keep turning into big arguments, maybe you feel unseen or misunderstood, or maybe the spark has faded and you’re wondering how to get it back. Trust breaks, communication ruts, and life transitions can make even strong bonds feel shaky. In our work together, I’ll help you and your partner(s) step out of painful patterns and reconnect in ways that feel genuine and lasting. I draw from Gottman’s Sound Relationship House to identify areas for repair and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to bring awareness to unmet needs and deepen connection. My approach is collaborative and affirming—there’s no judgment, no assumptions, and no need to educate me about your relationship structure. The goal isn’t perfection, but creating a stronger foundation of trust, emotional safety, and deeper connection so your relationships can truly thrive!
How do you work with clients with anxiety?
Life can get overwhelming fast! Between juggling responsibilities, showing up for others, and just trying to hold it together, it’s easy to put your own needs last. And before you know it, you’re running on fumes, wondering when you’re supposed to catch your breath. Anxiety, depression, and burnout are human responses to chronic stress and often just signs that you’ve been carrying too much for too long. What you might need is space to slow down, sort through the noise, and feel what you’re feeling without being judged or rushed. In therapy, we’ll explore what’s weighing on you and figure out ways to make things more manageable without adding more pressure. Whether you’re navigating big emotions or just feeling kind of stuck, I focus on things like emotional regulation, self-compassion, and tuning back in to what you need!
What do therapy sessions with you look like?
Therapy with me is relaxed, collaborative, and all about what works for you! No pressure to have it all together, no need to filter your words, and definitely no stuffy therapist vibes. I’ll show up as my real self—flaws, quirks, and all—and create space for you to do the same. I use a person-centered approach, blending tools from CBT, DBT, and Gottman methods depending on your needs. Together, we’ll build practical ways to handle life’s stress, strengthen your relationships, and reconnect with your spark, possibly with a few laughs along the way!
How can you provide care remotely?
Remote therapy can be just as effective as in-person, sometimes even more so! You get to show up as you are, in your own space (hello, cozy blanket and favorite mug), without the stress of traffic or awkward waiting rooms. It allows us to dive in quicker and makes therapy more accessible and consistent. What really matters isn’t the location. It’s the connection, the conversation, and the space we create together!
How does person-centered therapy work and how can it help?
I use a person-centered approach by meeting each client where they are with empathy, understanding, and unconditional positive regard. I believe you are the expert of your own life, and my role is to support and guide you, not to judge or direct. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where you feel heard, valued, and empowered to make meaningful changes at your own pace, in a way that aligns with your unique values and experiences!
