How does cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) work and how can it help?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a goal-oriented approach that focuses on the relationship between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. It helps individuals identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and beliefs, while also promoting positive behaviors through structured interventions. CBT can effectively treat a variety of mental health concerns by equipping individuals with practical tools to manage emotions and improve coping skills.

How do you work with clients with anxiety?

When working with anxious clients, I create a supportive environment and use evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and mindfulness to help them understand and manage their symptoms. I provide psychoeducation and personalized treatment plans to help clients cope effectively and live fulfilling lives.

How do you work with clients with depression?

When working with clients suffering from depression, I create a compassionate and understanding environment in which they feel free to express themselves. We work together to identify the root causes of their depression and develop tailored strategies to treat their symptoms. I use evidence-based interventions like cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral activation, and mindfulness practices to help clients regain control and relieve their depressive symptoms. In addition, I provide support, encouragement, and guidance throughout their journey of healing and recovery, empowering them to make positive changes in their lives and rediscover joy and fulfillment.

For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?

If someone is hesitant to try therapy, I want to reassure them that their feelings are completely normal. Taking the first step towards seeking help can be intimidating, but it is a brave act of self-care. Therapy is a safe place where you can express yourself freely without being judged. It's not about being "broken" or "weak"; it's about developing insight, coping skills, and support to help you navigate life's challenges. Your mental health is important, and seeking therapy is a positive step toward recovery and growth. You deserve to live a happier, more fulfilled, and empowered life. Remember that you are not alone, and there are people who genuinely want to help you succeed.

What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?

Those considering working with me should be aware that I am deeply committed to providing compassionate, client-centered care. I prioritize providing a safe, nonjudgmental environment in which people can feel heard, understood, and supported. My approach is collaborative, which means that I actively involve clients in the treatment process and tailor interventions to their specific needs and goals. To ensure that my interventions are effective, I use evidence-based practices and stay up to date on the latest research. Furthermore, I bring empathy, warmth, and professionalism to each session, aiming to help clients overcome obstacles and thrive in their lives.

How do you work with clients with grief?

When working with clients going through grief, I create a compassionate and supportive environment in which they can explore their emotions and memories at their own pace. We navigate the difficulties of grief, devise coping strategies, and find moments of peace and comfort. My goal is to help clients honor their loved one's memory while also finding purpose and healing in their own lives.

What do therapy sessions with you look like?

In therapy sessions with me, you will find a supportive and nonjudgmental environment in which your needs are prioritized. We'll collaborate to address your specific concerns with evidence-based strategies tailored to your objectives. Telehealth is used for sessions to ensure convenience and privacy. My goal is to help you overcome challenges, develop resilience, and live a fulfilling life.

How can you provide care remotely?

I offer remote care via telehealth, using secure video conferencing platforms and other digital communication tools. This allows me to provide therapy sessions, medication management appointments, and other mental health services remotely, ensuring clients' accessibility and convenience. Telehealth allows clients to participate in sessions from the comfort of their own homes or any private space, eliminating the need for travel and increasing scheduling flexibility. I follow strict confidentiality and privacy protocols to ensure that clients' personal information is protected. Regardless of distance, I strive to create a warm, supportive, and healing environment for each client, fostering a strong therapeutic alliance.
