Hello, I’m Toby Brans, a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor passionate about helping individuals heal and grow. My work focuses on creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel supported in exploring your challenges and uncovering your strengths. I specialize in working with trauma, grief, anxiety, and ADHD, tailoring therapy to your unique needs and experiences.
I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Sam Houston State University. Over the years, I’ve worked in diverse settings, including prisons, community mental health centers, and private practice. These experiences have shaped my compassionate approach and deepened my understanding of the complexities of human resilience.
In therapy, I integrate evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I also incorporate creative, experiential exercises to make strategies relatable and effective. My conversational, collaborative style encourages curiosity about your inner world while empowering you to navigate life’s challenges with courage and clarity.
My ultimate goal is to help you uncover your potential and guide you toward a fulfilling, balanced life. Together, we’ll work to transform challenges into opportunities for growth and meaningful change.
