How do you work with clients with trauma and PTSD?
When working with trauma and PTSD, I focus on creating a safe, supportive environment where you can process difficult experiences at your own pace. I help clients understand how trauma affects the mind and body while developing practical coping skills to manage symptoms and regain a sense of control. I also incorporate Brainspotting when appropriate to help process trauma and emotional pain on a deeper level, supporting long-term healing and resilience.
How do you work with clients with anxiety?
I help clients identify the thoughts, behaviors, and life stressors that contribute to anxiety. Together, we develop practical strategies to manage worry, reduce overwhelm, and build confidence in handling life's challenges. My approach combines emotional support, skill-building, and increased self-awareness so clients can feel more grounded, resilient, and in control of their daily lives.
How does motivational interviewing work and how can it help?
Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, goal-oriented approach that helps you explore and strengthen your motivation for change. Rather than telling you what to do, I work alongside you to better understand your values, goals, and any obstacles that may be keeping you stuck.
This approach can be especially helpful when you're feeling ambivalent about making changes, whether related to mental health, relationships, stress management, career decisions, or unhealthy patterns. Through open conversation, we identify what matters most to you, build on your strengths, and develop a plan that feels realistic and meaningful. Motivational Interviewing can help increase confidence, improve decision-making, and support lasting, self-directed change.
