I am a licensed mental health counselor in Florida and work with couples and individuals on improving their relationships and quality of life, and therapists on managing a number of experiences that come up through their work. I offer free, 15 minute phone consultations. Starting September 1, 2023 I will be accepting insurance. Currently I accept out-of-network insurance benefits that will support the cost of services. We can verify these benefits prior to the start of services, as many clients have out-of-network benefits and are not aware of it. I offer individual counseling for adolescents to adults starting at age 14+. I work with clients struggling with career burnout, self-esteem, anxiety, grief/loss, family conflict, stress, maternal mental health, and mood regulation. I also work with caregivers who are using Maudsley FBT therapy with their adolescents experiencing an eating disorder. ​

I specialize in working with adults struggling with anxiety, OCD, depression, and trauma. She completed an APA approved doctoral internship at the University of Notre Dame where she received a specialty in alcohol and substance assessment and treatment. Following her internship, Dr. Sheets completed formal post-doctoral training at Northwestern University where she further developed expertise in short-term therapy, mindfullness, ACT/CBT, and narrative therapy.
