What's your experience with clients with ADHD?

ADHD and attention issues are one of my favorite things to work with. I myself have ADHD and so you know when you're working with me that I'm someone who's actually been through a lot of the same things. I wasn't diagnosed until I was around 40, so, you know, kind of gives me an interesting perspective, having been on the other side of the counseling relationship as well. So, I love to work with ADHD adults, because a lot of times these adults haven't been diagnosed until much later and all of a sudden they're going, "now I understand I understand what was wrong I get it. How do I work with it?". So we look for ways to help you manage some of the symptoms and cope with a lot of the challenges. It's actually a lot of fun, there's usually a lot of laughter and just teamwork and brainstorming to find things that works specifically for you.
