I'm a therapist who meets my clients in their hard places in life and support them in their journey to find relief. I use a bottom-up, somatic, holistic approach to empower my clients to cope with difficulties and a top-down, values based approach to guide client in creating meaning in life. I specialize in working with children and adults struggling with trauma symptoms such as intrusive thoughts, images, or urges (self-harm and suicidal ideation) as well as attachment issues, abuse, domestic violence, bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety.

I work at Hope Counseling Center in Branson, MO. I work with clients who grapple with anxiety, depression, anger management, relationship struggles, trauma, psychosis, sex/porn addiction spiritual abuse, and grief. I view my clients as the experts of their own lives and respect their autonomy. I am a EMDR trained therapist. I am an Adjunct Faculty at Evangel University, teaching Counseling Theories, Assessment, Couple & Family Therapy, Telemental Counseling, Child & Elder Abuse, and Intimate Partner Violence. Though I provide treatment to people of all faiths or none at all, I integrate the Christian faith into the counseling process for those who appreciate that perspective. My counseling office is a shame-free zone, where you are free to heal and be whole.

My name is Shira Collings (she/they). I specialize in working with clients with eating disorders, disordered eating, body image distress, and those wanting to break free from diet culture. As a diet culture dropout myself, I am passionate about supporting others in finding freedom with food and body acceptance. I am also passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent folx, as well as those with substance use and trauma histories. My therapeutic approach is rooted in the Health At Every Size paradigm and body liberation. It is also informed by feminism, disability justice, and queer and trans liberation. I believe that healing comes from feeling heard, seen, and valued, and I strive to create a space in which clients can express their full, authentic selves.
