Nicole Theodore

Psychotherapist
Online Therapy
From social media to global crises, there are a great deal of forces influencing how we see ourselves. It is normal amidst all of this change to feel anxious, depressed, hopeless, and overwhelmed. Therapy can help these parts of you feel seen and heard free of judgement or shame. Together, I hope to help you foster coping skills, boost self-confidence, set and meet goals, and improve the relationship you have with yourself and others. You are not alone in what you are facing. I will work with you to compassionately tend to the parts of you that feel like they are suffering in order to help you create a path forward.  My passion is helping individuals reconnect to themselves and the world around them. To take care of our minds is to take care of our physical and spiritual health.  I have a special interest in serious illness, life transitions, palliative care, caregivers, women’s health, infertility, grief, and how nature and the outdoors can promote mental well-being. I love hiking, running, kayaking, and being with animals. Attention to the outdoors, physical movement, and the mind-body connection informs my clinical work with clients when appropriate. I graduated from The Silver School of Social Work at New York University as a Zelda Foster Palliative and End of Life Care fellow. I previously worked at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where I helped patients, caregivers, and healthcare staff navigate the complexities of serious illness and palliative care.

Keeley Teemsma

Psychotherapist - Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Online & In-Person
I'm Keeley. I'm a native New Yorker and I've been in practice for about 14+ years. I'm an animal lover, swimmer, wannabe gardener, and mama to the most beautiful little boy, who happens to be on the Autism spectrum. There's pressure these days to reveal one's ethnic identity- I would describe my identity as multicultural that vacillates and varies. I take pride in working with adults of all backgrounds. I've seen the toll that increased success and money can take on a person's relationships with others and with themselves. You may feel socially isolated, misunderstood by family and friends from your past, perhaps even guilt or shame for doing so well while at the same time feeling that your accomplishments aren't enough. I work with high-achievers and (often) new HNW (high net worth) individuals to gain acceptance of their successes and finally feel at peace. I help them gain an understanding of their self-esteem; explore & implement boundaries with others, themselves, work, money; overcome loneliness; reduce stressors that affect their decision-making & financial well-being; and normalize their new power & social status, especially if they are a woman. Therapy is a safe place to confide. I usually describe my therapeutic/coaching style as big sisterish. I'm try to bring in humor but not without transparency. I was trained in a psychodynamic orientation, but like to include elements of other types of therapies.  I like therapy sessions to be both reflective and action-oriented. I've been in this field for about 14 years and have worked with many people just like yourself, in addition to knowing first-hand just what you are going through. You probably have plenty of questions, so please reach out to set up your consultation.
