What's your approach to anxiety, and what does progress look like for clients?

I introduce modalities such as breathing techniques, meditation and thought provoking scenarios to help shape and preserve a healthy perspective on life.
Approaches · Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

How does dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) work, and what do sessions look like?

DBT is about learning that two opposites can be true at the same time. You can be sad and anxious all the time and you can also be determined to feel better and do the work. You can accept yourself the way you are and still want to change. Both can be true!
About Me

For people hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them, and what advice would you give?

Ask for the help. Try not to get in your own way by not asking for help. Fighting an internal battle by yourself can be scary. I encourage you to trust the process of reshaping your mental health through individual therapy. It will give you a chance to understand yourself better and to identify and establish your wants and needs as important enough to work towards. You are the only one that can change your life. Take your power back and let's get started today!
About Me

What do sessions with you look like, and what can a new client expect?

Sessions are geared towards accomplishing therapeutic goals that are established during the first session. I offer mindfulness based practices to help the client stay grounded, centered and present. I encourage client participation between sessions by having the client make committed actions to themselves.
Specialties · Self Esteem

What's your approach to self esteem concerns, and what does progress look like for clients?

Self Esteem starts with developing a good relationship to yourself. Self-validation and true care and concern for yourself matter. I helps to understand and disarm your negative critic (negative self talk). Our critic reinforce negative messages we retained in childhood. We can rewrite our narrative to feel more empowering, which will in turn, allow us to think highly of ourselves and to know our worth.
