For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
Asking for help can be vulnerable, and seeking out therapy services can be scary. I ask that if you are curious or have a feeling that things could be better give it a try. Sometimes all we need is someone who is willing to meet us where we are at.
What should people thinking about working with you, know about you?
First and foremost I believe movement is medicine. I remain curious in how you treat your body, if you notice when a stretch or a walk brings a shift to your current emotional state. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and conscious of the impacts living under systems of oppression have on us individually and collectively. My approach is based on unconditional positive regard - offering a safe, non-judgmental space for you to be yourself while gently challenging you to explore and celebrate your strengths with a warm yet direct therapeutic approach that honors where you are.
How do you work with clients with addiction?
Although I am not an addiction counselor, I have lived experience within recovery and 12 step programs.
How does couples therapy work and how can it help?
I take a holistic approach in providing care to couples and individuals, offering a range of modalities based on interest, desire, and personality. In viewing the therapeutic relationship as a collaborative endeavor we can explore the past while being curious about the present. Relationships can be challenging, together we can work on creating cohesion and balance within them.
How can you provide care remotely?
Although our work is conducted virtually, I have extensive experience cultivating a sense of safety, connection, and therapeutic cohesion that allows clients to feel truly supported—no matter the physical distance. Thoughtful pacing, attunement, and creative interventions ensure that sessions maintain the depth, warmth, and collaborative spirit of in-person therapy. This virtual space becomes a shared environment for healing—one where exploration, clarity, and meaningful change can unfold.
