Why did you become a therapist, and what motivates you to continue?

I became a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner because I’m passionate about helping people improve their mental health and quality of life. What motivates me to continue is seeing the positive impact my care has on patients. Being able to help individuals of all ages navigate mental health challenges and grow stronger keeps me dedicated to this work.

For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?

I would tell them that therapy is a safe and supportive space designed to help them work through their challenges at their own pace. It’s a collaborative process where they are in control, and I’m here to guide and support them with tools that can improve their well-being. Therapy is a step toward self-understanding and growth.

I take the time to listen to my patients, working closely with them to develop personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs.
