My first career was in fine art reproduction where I worked with art buyers and galleries on an international level. I had no idea that in 2015 I would change careers and become a therapist. Clients say that therapy with me feels like a simple conversation. Couples therapy is my favorite type of clients but I currently work with anyone over the age of 13 unless they are seen for family therapy. I have five kids myself and have seen the ugly side of divorce. My belief is that we are all one decision away from something better.

For people that are hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them?
I am not here to judge you or tell you what to do. I am here to help motivate you and work on issues from a strength based focus.
Why is trauma processing important?
There is so much to say about this but trauma is why hurt people hurt people. It is why we are so defensive and scared all at the same time.
What does a typical session with you tend to look like?
I aim for every session to feel like a conversation with a trusted friend that’s going to be honest and helpful.
What's your experience with emotionally focused therapy?
This is my main approach which is attachment based. I plan to become fully credentialed in EFT over the next few years. This approach cannot be used if DV or addictions is indicated.
How can you provide care remotely?
I offer telehealth through my electronic medical records software (zoom) which allows for secure and HIPPA compliant sessions.
What's your experience with Christian counseling?
I am not a pastor or clergy. I will discuss biblical concepts and possible solutions offered from texts. I will not break out a Bible and try to convict from it as I do not see that as helpful or my position in life. I talk a lot about grace and forgiveness as the main ways to express love.
