About Me
What inspired you to become a therapist, and what keeps you motivated?
I became a therapist because I’ve always been drawn to the quiet, honest moments where people finally feel safe enough to be vulnerable and share about their lives, the parts they usually carry alone. I realized early on that healing doesn’t happen in isolation; it happens in connection. And I wanted to be someone who could offer that kind of steady, non‑judgmental support.
What keeps me motivated is seeing the small shifts, the moments when someone says, “I handled that differently,” or “I finally feel like myself again,” or “I didn’t think I could get through this, but I did.” Therapy isn’t about dramatic breakthroughs; it’s about slow, meaningful change that adds up over time. Watching people reclaim their confidence, their voice, their boundaries, or their sense of peace is incredibly rewarding.
I’m also motivated by the trust clients place in me. It’s a privilege to be invited into someone’s inner world, especially during vulnerable or confusing chapters of their life. That trust keeps me grounded, grateful, and committed to showing up fully, with compassion, curiosity, and respect.
I’m inspired by the resilience people don’t even realize they have. Being able to witness that, support it, and help people build a life that feels more aligned and less overwhelming is what keeps me doing this work.
About Me
For people hesitant to try therapy, what do you wish you could tell them, and what advice would you give?
Therapy isn’t about being “broken,” dramatic, or in crisis. It’s simply a place where you don’t have to carry everything alone. You don’t have to perform. You don’t have to be the strong one. You don’t have to have the right words. You just get to show up as you are, even if that’s unsure, overwhelmed, or skeptical.
Most people don’t start therapy because they’re confident. They start because something in their life feels heavy, confusing, or stuck, and they’re tired of trying to figure it out by themselves. That’s not weakness. That’s wisdom.
Therapy isn’t a lifetime commitment. It’s a conversation. A place to sort through your thoughts with someone who isn’t judging you, isn’t involved in your daily life, and isn’t expecting anything from you. You set the pace. You decide what feels safe. You choose the goals. A good therapist will meet you exactly where you are, not where you think you “should” be.
Give yourself permission to try one session. Not a whole treatment plan. Not a long-term commitment. Just one hour. One conversation. One moment where you let yourself be supported instead of carrying everything alone. You might be surprised by how relieving it feels to have someone in your corner, helping you make sense of things you’ve been navigating silently for a long time.
You don’t have to be ready for therapy. You just have to be willing to see what it’s like. That’s enough.
Approaches · Eclectic
How does eclectic therapy work, and what do sessions look like?
Eclectic therapy is simply therapy that’s tailored to you.
Instead of using one strict method, I pull from different evidence‑based approaches like CBT, DBT, mindfulness, grounding, etc, depending on what you need that day.
Sessions usually feel conversational and collaborative.
You check in, talk through what’s been going on, and explore patterns or emotions that feel important. I may offer a new perspective, teach a skill, or guide you through a grounding exercise. The approach shifts based on what will help you feel supported, understood, and empowered in the moment.
The goal is to give you the right tool at the right time.
Eclectic therapy adapts as you grow, making the process feel flexible, personalized, and genuinely helpful, not one‑size‑fits‑all.
